GreenLink Launches Local Group Buying Product For Television
Aug 30, 2010King of Prussia, PA., Aug. 31 -- GreenLink Networks, Inc., a leading provider of marketing and social commerce solutions, announced today the launch of its social commerce ad platform, GroupBuy, in Kansas City, Las Vegas and San Diego. GroupBuy is a collective buying service built specifically for television stations that offers small and medium-sized businesses an attractive, performance-based advertising solution. The GroupBuy application is part of the GreenLink viewer rewards program operated in partnership with KCTV-TV in Kansas City (KC Rewards), KVVU-TV in Las Vegas (FOX5 Rewards), and XETV in San Diego (SD6 Rewards).

GroupBuy offers are available to rewards program members for up to seven days. Merchants can cap the quantity of the deals available to consumers. GroupBuy offers are promoted on each station’s reward site, and through e-mail, television, and social networks including Facebook and Twitter. “GroupBuy is unique because of the broad distribution an advertiser receives, including on-air mentions on television, and the ability for a merchant to control its economic exposure to the promotion by capping the quantity offered to consumers,” said Agree.
GreenLink plans to launch ten additional markets in the next two weeks including Atlanta, Portland, Columbus, Harrisburg, Tampa, and Buffalo. “We already have a backlog of two months’ worth of deals in each of our markets because of the strength of our rewards programs,” said Agree. “This is a great way for television stations to monetize their audience databases and provide performance-based advertising to small and medium-sized businesses.”
